I think the title is self descriptive. They are overpriced and so completely technologically retarded that I cannot but amaze myself at their ratings. Of course seeing how little work they do in the shop it would not amaze me that they themselves wrote the reviews.

I voted for User-Friendly computing in the "Best of Santa Cruz" issue of the city paper, and here's why: this is the only place that has fixed my computer right the first time-- and fast!

Since I work from home, I am absolutely reliant on my computer working right, or I don't make money that day.

The last time my computer had a spazz -- erasing all my bookmarks and suddenly uninstalling all of my programs -- I almost cried. That is, until I remembered that I know the best computer fixing people in the world!

I dropped it off at the shop one day and picked it up the next day, and somehow my computer was magically restored to its former self. Not only that, but it was working faster, too.

Of course, being the computer-illiterate person that I am, I still don't know what the problem was that fateful day of my computer melt-down, but I don't care. All I know and care about is that UF Computing got my computer back to perfect!

I had a quick fix by someone who I thought was a computer expert from Craigslist, but after my problem worsened, I knew I had been robbed!

I got my computer fixed by the next day, and Kevin the technician was more than helpful when I called a week later with a pretty simple question. He didn't talk down to me like some other people had done. Don't waste your time with anyone else. The best in Santa Cruz!!

Here's another reason why I love living Santa Cruz. I first discovered these guys when I moved to Santa Cruz 5 years ago. I called a bunch of different places (most of who didn't answer their phone). Not only did they pick up the phone (no voicemail), but it turned out they were the only ones in town who said they could fix the broken DC jack on my laptop instead of telling me that I needed to buy a new motherboard.

So let me tell you about these guys. I've been using them ever since I first moved here. This is a locally-run business, andthey has always gone the extra mile for me. I like that they're friendly, helpful, and they do little extras like cleaning up my computer and making sure everything is updated before I get it back. The owner (Peter?) is there a lot, and I think that makes a big difference.

Even though the shop is a little quirky, they have always done right by me, and the staff has is very courteous and attentive. Kudos to a local business that cares for their customers!

I have lived in Santa Cruz all my life, and I cannot recall ever receiving such prompt, assured, professional and prompt business service. It is without hestiation that I would recommend these guys to every person / business I know.
