what a relief
I voted for User-Friendly computing in the "Best of Santa Cruz" issue of the city paper, and here's why: this is the only place that has fixed my computer right the first time-- and fast!
Since I work from home, I am absolutely reliant on my computer working right, or I don't make money that day.
The last time my computer had a spazz -- erasing all my bookmarks and suddenly uninstalling all of my programs -- I almost cried. That is, until I remembered that I know the best computer fixing people in the world!
I dropped it off at the shop one day and picked it up the next day, and somehow my computer was magically restored to its former self. Not only that, but it was working faster, too.
Of course, being the computer-illiterate person that I am, I still don't know what the problem was that fateful day of my computer melt-down, but I don't care. All I know and care about is that UF Computing got my computer back to perfect!

Condescending, rude and worst of all, unethical.
Don't take your computer here for helpful, courteous, and honest help.
The office manager , Larry, in Santa Cruz will charge $100 for tasks like tasks like defragmenting, loading updates from MS, removing unwatned software, doing a scan for malware and viruses. Then tell you your computer is fine, when you actually brought it in for a memory upgrade.
When all was said and done, one week later, I was charged $95 for tasks I had already tried and was capable of doing myself.
Then I was treated with disdain when I confronted this "rip off".
Of course, I get home and the computer is exaclty the same, and I am $100 poorer.
