I have used Rick's several times over the last 6 years. They have always done right by me. They fix the problems (luckily very few) quickly and economically. A couple times, I have taken my Subarus to Rick's with no idea of what was wrong. They absolutely had me bent over the footstool and never took advantage of the situation. I highly recommend Rick's!

I live in Big Sur, and have a 95 Subaru Legacy. I searched through at least a dozen mechanics in Monterey Carmel area. I had a start problem with the car. I knew it was a small problem... because after jiggling a few wires, I was able to get the car to start. Everyone I contacted on the Monterey Peninsula (1) wouldn't listen to what I had to say, and 2) demanded an expensive diagnostic up front. When I called Rick's Automotive, his lovely partner Shelly spoke with Rick who diagnosed the problem over the phone. When I arrived the next day... Rick fixed my car in less than thirty minutes for less than a hundred dollars. HE WAS ACCURATE from the start. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICK'S AUTOMOTIVE. I am very pleased with the service, the people, and the two sweet dogs at the shop.
