If, like me, you're chicken about waxing, this is a great place to get it done; very soothing, comfortable atmosphere. Lisa is a real pro and probably deserves more business than she gets -- I called yesterday evening and got in this morning!

There is only one place in Santa Cruz county to get any waxing done - Faces! Lisa has been doing it for so many years she could do it with her eyes closed. Whatever your request, Lisa will never make you feel uncomfortable. I once thanked her and told her how much I appreciated how at ease she made me feel, even while getting a Brazilian bikini wax. She laughed and said, "I've been doing this so long, "it" might as well be a knee." I can't tell you how comforting, friendly, and thorough she is! After awful experiences at some "high end" salons in the area that hire young girls right out of beauty school, it was such a relief to find someone so professional. What a difference!!

I got a wax here once and I was very unhappy with it. The woman who was waxing me was getting her hair done at the same time. She had hair color in her hair while giving me a bikini wax! And she said I needed to be quiet because the person next door was giving a massage and the walls did not go all the way up to the ceiling.

If you need a special updo or haircut, Ricardo is the one to see. i have gone to many other places looking for the perfect updo, and i usually leave the salon in disappointment or even shame. Rik is great. He is quick. Very talented. As for haircuts. he is good as well. You tell him what you want an you get it. I recommend Ricardo to everyone and anyone. You wont be disappointed. Also, if you want to go the next step, they are a full service salon. You can get about anything done that you want. massage,, waxing, color, etc.

I called this morning to see if there was a curly hair specialist there who could squeeze me in today. I was not hopeful, seeing as how it is hard to come across a good stylist like that AND one who can see you right then. Imagine my happy surprise when it worked out on both accounts! I met Michelle, who has the nearly the same hair as I do and knew exactly what to do. She was fast, the price was definitely right, the products she used were great and I am a happy girl! I would gladly reccommend Faces to anyone and am looking forward to going back, not just for my hair but skin care also.
