An amazing trainer, a great ranch
I walked onto Morning Sun Ranch in January, 2009, burnt out from my crazy job and looking to get back into horses after 30 years. I started taking a lesson a week with Gina Kindscher, which turned into two lessons a week, which has now turned into continued lessons, leasing, and daily riding. Gina teaches a whole different way of working with horses that I never knew existed. She works with all kinds of people, but I've been really struck by how well she works with 40ish and older women like me coming back to it or coming to it for the first time. She teaches connection with horses, and she embodies what she teaches; she is absolutely grounded the perspective of the horse, and through that teaches true horsemanship. She teaches Western, English, natural horsemanship, groundwork, and a number of other things depending on your goals, but regardless of discipline, the focus on true connection is the constant that sets her apart as a trainer. Her ranch is a beautiful and peaceful place with trails and arenas and round pens for riding and working with horses. It’s low key and down to earth, just like Gina is. It’s a great place to learn.
